Testimonials
“We have been bringing our two small dogs to Happy Paws for four years for their day care…needs and we feel truly blessed to have found such wonderful caregivers.  The staff are invariably dedicated, polite, and obviously enjoy what they do, which the dogs can really feel since they always are eager to greet whoever checks them in at the front desk.  The environment is bright and clean and the dogs enjoy being in an active but calm atmosphere for day care.”

“My dog has been going to day care at Happy Paws DC for a year and she and I are both very happy with it. The day care is very clean and they have a nice retail area downstairs. At other day cares my dog would come home smelling of urine or cleaning solution and I have never had that problem with Happy Paws.”

“Recently took my 1yr old shih tzu here for doggy daycare after hearing good things from a girlfriend of mine. I had visited other places and was horrified by the dirtiness and/or lack of attention. My dog loved happy paws and also smelled clean afterwards. On another note, they offer half days and packaged rates so it is economical too.”

“We have been taking our Westies to Happy Paws for almost six months and can't speak more highly of the care they have received and the positive experiences that they clearly have with the staffers and other dogs. Our dogs have been daycare guests about 50 times and overnight guests at least a dozen times; once they realize where we are heading in the morning, they tug on their leashes toward the Happy Paws entrance, and they are invariably happy and exhausted at the end of the day, which are two surefire ways that we know Happy Paws is doing something--actually, numerous things--right. First, the webcam footage indicates that our Westies are practically spoiled by the caring staffers, who are constantly monitoring and playing with the dogs; on numerous occasions, we have seen one staffer holding our dogs in her lap and brushing them. Second, the staffers are very observant of and attentive to the needs of each dog. Although the dogs are separated by size and age, the staffers will consider putting our dogs in with the bigger ones if there isn't enough company in the small dog room to keep them stimulated and as long as such a move would be safe. Third, in addition to the safe and fun socialization opportunities our dogs can take advantage of, we are comforted by how immaculate the facility is, far more so than the many other daycare facilities in the area we have visited. The staffers are constantly cleaning each room; I smell the fragrant cleaning solution whenever I walk in the door, and frankly, the dogs come home smelling better than they do when they walk in. And finally, all of the staffers, including Stefanie Duval, the owner of Happy Paws, are incredibly professional, courteous, and obviously happy to be there. They know our dogs well and make clear how much they value us as clients.”

“So happy to have met you this year. Thanks for all you do”
